Many products online are sold in a way that you as a customer can customize to enhance your experience with them.
Just like other marketers, many of our products - be it iGloo App, JVZoo Academy or others, are sold in a sales funnel.
A sales funnel will usually contain a base product (we call this the Front End or FE product), and then one, two, and sometimes three additional upgrades (we call these One Time Offers or OTOs).
If you have made a decision to purchase the FE product, it is up to you whether you want to purchase the additional OTOs on offer.
For example, if you have purchased iGloo App, after purchase you will be redirected to the OTO1 page where you have the option to purchase additional Pro Features that will be added to your account. In this case, the Pro features are not automatically sold as part of the FE product for two reasons:
1) based on customer feedback these features are not valuable for every single iGloo customer and are useful only to businesses of a certain size, and
2) because of the up-keep needed for these features, if we were to add them to the FE product, we would need to increase the price of iGloo for all users, meaning everyone would be charged more for features only a percentage of customers need and use.
However, the important thing to note is this:
The FE product is a compulsory purchase while the OTOs are optional.
This means that if you, for example, only purchase OTO1 and nothing else, you just purchased an upgrade which cannot be added to anything because you don't actually have a FE base product to add the upgrade to.
A common example is this: when you go to a car dealership, you can purchase a car which is like an FE product. Along with the car, you might also be offered a spare set of tires just in case, similar to an OTO. Your car is already all you need - so the spare tires are optional. However, if you go to the same dealership and purchase the spare tires, without purchasing or having a car to 'add them on to', they won't be much use.
